MAISON ET OBJET HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESFUL
As every year, Amefa France attended to the famous Maison & Objet exhibition which took place in Paris from the 3rd to the 7th September 2010. For the first time, all the brands were gathered on the same stand: Couzon, Médard de Noblat (taken over in May 2010), Amefa France and Chef & Sommelier.It was the opportunity for the contemporary Couzon brand to introduce its new products:
The “neuvième art” cutlery range: In partnership with the « Neuvième Art» restaurant (2 stars in the Michelin Guide book), Couzon has developed a well-designed product, contemporary, sober and original. A stamp (a graphic composition between the «C» of Couzon and the «9» of neuvième art) highlights the singularity of the pattern. The knife can stand on the side, or be set up down as well. AMEFA TAKES OVER A WELL KNOWN FRENCH PORCELAIN BRAND MEDARD DE NOBLAT (kopieer 1)
In May 2010 Amefa has taken over the well known French porcelain brand Médard de Noblat. Médard de Noblat is situated at Sauviat sur Vige near Limoges and has perpetuated a tradition and an expertise in porcelain since 1836.The history of Médard de Noblat finds it roots under the name Giraud, one of the oldest factories of Limoges in 1836. It later became Médard de Noblat when sold in 1989. By exporting massively to the United States, Japan and Europe, the reputation of Limoges porcelain has grown largely. In the past Médard de Noblat has served a variety of famous personalities, such as the Shah of Iran, Pope John XXIII, General de Gaulle, and the George V hotel in Paris, Nikko, Michel Guerard in Eugénie les bains and Awashima in Japan.The takeover of Médard de Noblat in 2010 contributes to an important new market share for Amefa. Especially in the French retail market, but also for export countries and areas, like America and Southern Europe.
