Mr Couzon creates the brand Jean Couzon and develops a cutlery and holloware production unit among one of the oldest and most renowned in the town of THIERS, the French cutlery capital for over six centuries.
1950/70’s
Jean Couzon’s cutlery and tableware range is recognized by consumers as high quality products that symbolizes French design and know-how.
1967
Launch of the Cuisinox cookware brand.
1992
The company reaches a turnover of 36 million euros, produces 38 million pieces and employs 700 people with 3 brands under it’s name: Couzon, Chabanne and Cuisinox.
2000’s
Couzon becomes recognized in France for high quality, innovative products.
2005
The Dutch group AMEFA, the second largest Cutlery company in Europe, purchases the Couzon brand.
2007
The brand focuses its contemporary design through 3 family products: cutlery, tableware and cookware. The brand moves away from its economical and traditional ranges to concentrate on the creation of exclusive and contemporary products.
2009
Couzon launches its new catalogue with new ranges that highlight the brand’s evolution. The new ranges have a striking success with consumers, retailers and department stores. The brand begins to develop its export market in Spain, Italy, Greece, United States, Canada, Dubai and Australia.
2011
Launch of the new furniture concept Modus created by the renowned designer JP Vitrac. Launch of the cutlery « Neuvième art » created in partnership with Christophe Roure, famous renowned chef 2 stars Michelin.

Couzon brand continues to develop innovative products and to drive the brand presence all around the world.
