Amefa is aware of the importance of social responsibility. For over a decade, we have been a proud member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (Amfori BSCI). All our products are manufactured in BSCI-certified factories. To promote environmental improvements in our business activities, we have also joined the Business Environmental Performance Initiative (Amfori BEPI).

Our product development team has made ecological sustainability a priority and is continuously working to develop more sustainable alternatives for existing products. A good example of this is our Slim and Leaves product lines, which were developed as alternatives to disposable plastic cutlery. We will continue to challenge ourselves to develop sustainable products and packaging solutions.

Amefa is also committed to making all packaging as environmentally friendly as possible by reducing the use of plastic wherever possible. Already, Amefa saves millions of plastic polybags, rubber bands, and PVC adhesive tapes by replacing them with packaging solutions made of paper and cardboard.

Most of our products are made from high-quality stainless steel, which is not only an approved and 100% safe material for food contact but also has the advantage of being fully recyclable at the end of its life cycle.

For the calendar year 2023, Amefa calculated the carbon footprint of the entire corporate group for the first time. This will be measured regularly in the future to monitor the effectiveness of our reduction measures and to contribute to the fight against climate change.
