At Amefa, everything has always revolved around cutlery. Since 1931, we have been outfitting tables all over the world. Today, we are one of the leading suppliers of cutlery and related products in Europe. As a recognized specialist, we combine many years of experience with a genuine passion for quality and craftsmanship. Amefa stands for Dutch tradition and expertise – for over 90 years.
1931
Amefa is founded by Eugen Hollaender in the Netherlands, where razor blades are manufactured and sold.
1941
To meet the increasing demand, Amefa is expanding with production facilities in Neede and Bocholt.
1948
Switching from razor blades to table knives and cutlery.
1964
Amefa developed a new technique for silver plating together with specialists in Solingen and established its own silver plating department.
1988
In the 1990s, Amefa expanded significantly and became one of the largest players in the international cutlery market.
2002
Amefa Premiere, a beautiful and inspiring new cutlery sub-brand, has been launched with the goal of establishing a foothold in the premium segment.
2015
Amefa launched the Integral cutlery set for people with grip difficulties, which was awarded the DESIGN PLUS Award and received a RedDot honorable mention.
Today
Amefa is a brand that is constantly innovative. In 2023, Amefa introduced stainless steel alternatives to disposable plastic cutlery.
